HTC has unveiled two new premium design smartphones named – HTC Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle. The company has not revealed pricing of either smartphones yet, however the Desire 10 Lifestyle will be available in select markets by September end and the Desire 10 Pro will be available by November 2016.
HTC’s Desire series is known for its playful designs following which the company has come up with two new pleasing looking smartphones with premium designs. Both the smartphones features matte body finish with concentric metallic gold frame. Other than the premium design, the company is also touting on HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition stereo speakers. The Desire 10 Lifestyle is more of a mid-range smartphone while the Desire 10 Pro houses some flagship-like specs.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Desire 10 Lifestyle sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass protection and a pixel density of 267 ppi. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. It comes in two variants, 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB inbuilt storage, and 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB inbuilt storage. The memory can be expanded up to whopping 2 TB via MicroSD card.
It bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while on the front it sports a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. It is backed by a 2700 mAh battery with 4G LTE support.
On the other hand, the HTC Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass protection and a pixel density of 400 ppi. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. This smartphone also comes with two variants, one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage and the other with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. The memory is again expandable up to whopping 2 TB via MicroSD card.
The Desire 10 Pro packs a 20-megapixel rear camera with laser auto-focus, a BSI sensor, an f/2.2 aperture and Auto HDR mode. On the front, it sports a 13-megapixel camera with Auto HDR. It is backed by a 3000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, 4G LTE, etc. It houses a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, which is missing in Desire 10 Lifestyle.
Both the smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top. They also houses the 24-bit Hi-Res audio and HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition stereo speakers which offers a great sound experience. These smartphones will be available in Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue, and Valentine Lux colors.
