Gboard Beta 6.5 now supports Bitmoji and stickers, also includes some minor changes

The Gboard Beta app has been updated with new interactive features in its new update. The latest version 6.5 of Gboard beta will now let the users add Bitmoji and stickers. Previously this year, Gboard was updated with the ability to insert GIFs directly into any supported app and now it has further more increased the list of features with this new update.

The version 6.5 of Gboard is available via Play store for all those who are enrolled in the beta program. Once you update the app, you will see a new sticker tab besides emoji and GIF. The users will be able to select stickers by swiping through a carousel. The bar above it, is used to search Bitmoji, while a secondary tab sorts stickers based on Recents, Popular and other categories. The users will however have to install sticker packs from Play Store and download the Bitmoji app to make the most out of this new feature.

The sticker pack currently contain limited stickers which include popular animated characters such as Garfield, Despicable Me 3, Power Rangers, Trolls, Disney, Hello Kitty, NBAmoji and more. There a couple of paid sticker packs as well. Apart from adding the support for Bitmoji and stickers, there are minor changes here and there as well, which includes tweaked shift and backspace keys and a redesigned Themes panel.

As mentioned earlier, this update is only for the beta users and as of now there is no clue about its public roll out. That being said, we can expect it to happen soon as it usually doesn’t take too long for an update to roll out publicly after being available for beta.

We’ll keep you updated with more, stay tuned!
