Facebook has brought another update for its messenger app, introducing Video Chat Heads and Dropbox support on its iOS and Android apps.
The Video chat heads is a new way of video calling, where you can video call with one person in a floating screen circle (as seen in featured image), and still text chat on Messenger with others. The floating screen circle can be dragged and dropped anywhere on-screen as per your convenience. On Android, you can use this feature even when you are using other apps.
Secondly, the Dropbox support, it lets you share photos, videos, and other files directly from Facebook Messenger. With Dropbox app installed on your phone, users can share any file from Dropbox without leaving the Messenger app. Users will simply need to tap “More” button to access the Dropbox.
“We want people to communicate just the way they want to on Messenger, with everyone they care about. Giving our users the ability to share their Dropbox videos and images in Messenger threads with just a few taps will help them bring more style and personality to those conversations.”
– Stan Chudnovsky, head of product for Messenger.
