After launching in China back in May, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 is now set to hit the shelves in India. The Chinese company is apparently teasing the arrival of the smartphone in India on 20th August. As per its post in Facebook, Coolpad will be hosting an event on 20th August where the Cool Play 6 will be unveiled.
The smartphone comes with some worthy specifications and highlights its dual rear camera setup. The smartphone was touted as heavy performer appropriate for gaming considering its 6 GB RAM and massive battery. It was priced at CNY 1,499 (Rs. 14,000 approx), and we can expect it to be priced somewhere around this in India as well. The exact price and other details along with the launch offers will be known at the time of launch.
Coming towards the specifications, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. As mentioned earlier, it comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The imaging department consists of a dual rear camera setup with two 13-megapixel Sony sensors for monochrome and depth of field functions. The primary sensor comes with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens and autofocus, where the rear camera is accompanied with a dual-tone LED flash as well. There is also an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture in the front for selfies and video calls
The smartphone packs a mammoth 4,060 mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 252 hours on standby, up to 9 hours of internet browsing, 8 hours of video watching and 6 hours of extreme gaming, which is again one of the highlights. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 could go neck to neck with other budget smartphones in this price range, especially the recently launched Lenovo K8 Note. It will be interesting to see the response that the smartphone gets once it hits the shelves in India.
