Asus Zenfone GO with 5 inch screen, 8 MP camera launched at Rs. 7,999

Asus has finally launched the Zenfone Go in India, today. There were rumors back from July 2015 that Asus will launch a budget friendly smartphone Zenfone Go, and the company already listed the phone on its website last month but its availability is only announced today. The 3G enabled smartphone is priced at Rs 7,999 and will be available through Flipkart and Asus’s retail stores.

The Zenfone Go sports a 5 inch HD (1280 X 720 pixels) LCD display with pixel density of 294 ppi and anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has 8 GB of inbuilt memory, expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. It also offers 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years. The smartphone runs on Zen UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Asus Zenfone Go houses an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2 megapixel of front-facing camera. The dual SIM phone offers connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. It is packed with a 2070mAh battery that offers up to 7 hours of talk time and can last up to 250 hours on standby support.

The Zenfone Go comes in three colors- Black, White and Red. The device measures 144.5 x 71 x 9.98 mm and weighs 135 grams. It will have race against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Lenovo A6000 Plus, and the Yu Yuphoria.
