Asus Zenfone Go TV with in-built TV tuner card and 5.5 inch display launched

Asus has launched a new smartphone, called as Asus Zenfone Go TV in Taiwan. The smartphone is now priced at TWD 5490 (approx Rs. 11,250).

The USP of the Asus Zenfone Go TV is the built-in Sony IC (SMT-EW100) digital TV tuner card that can turns your smartphone into TV, without the internet connection. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 quad-core processor, paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB storage options and the smartphone will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop based ZenUI 2.0 on top.

The Zenfone Go TV sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual tone LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and is backed by a 3010mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 151 x 76.9 x 10.7 mm and weighs 160 grams.

However, there is no word on its global roll out yet. In other news, Asus has also started rolling out Android 6.0 update for Zenfone 2 Laser, today.
