At its much awaited ‘Let Us Loop You In’ event, Apple finally unveiled the iPhone SE. The iPhone SE (where SE stands for Special Edition) was launched along with the 9.7 inch iPad Pro and Apple Watch accessories in Cupertino, San Francisco.
The Apple iPhone SE confirms most of the rumors, as it features a 4 inch display with screen resolution of 640 X 1136 pixels at density of 326 ppi, which is good for such small screen. The innards of the iPhone SE is almost similar to iPhone 6s as it is also powered by the Apple A9 64-bit SoC and M9 motion coprocessor, with PowerVR GT7600 (six-cores) GPU and runs on iOS 9.3.

On the front, it boasts a 1.2 megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is backed by a 1642 mAh battery with improved battery life that is rated to deliver 14 hours of talk time and lasts up to 10 days on standby. It supports “Always On” Siri functionality, Live Photos, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and an NFC chip for Apple Pay.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.2, improved Wi-Fi and LTE, USB v2.0 and GPS. It measures 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm and weighs 113 g only. The iPhone SE is offered in Space Gray, Silver, Gold, Rose Gold color variants.
The iPhone SE is offered in two storage variants; 16 GB and 64 GB. The 16GB iPhone SE is priced at $399 while 64GB iPhone SE costs $499. The pre-orders starts from March 24th while the actual sales start from March 31st. By the end of may, the Apple iPhone SE will be available in 100 more countries including India.
