Motorola India announced on its Twitter handle yesterday that it is rolling out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update to users in India, for the Moto E, Moto G and the Moto X. All the three devices are set to receive the OTA update shortly.
We’ve begun rolling out Android, KitKat, 4.4.4 for Moto E, Moto G & Moto X this week in India! Expect an update on your #Moto soon!— Motorola India (@MotorolaIndia) July 5, 2014
The Android 4.4.4 is the latest Android version which will bring several stability and security fixes as well as a new dialer and an improved interface. Note that this is not a major Android update so you will not see much changes in the design but the update is mainly focused on the bug fixes. With this update the Moto Alert, an app that sends periodic alerts with the user’s location to selected contacts will be available on the Moto G and Moto X as well.
Along with the new dialer app, Moto E users will get a new graphical layout and colours for Moto E to get better consistency and usability, Moto G users will get new pause video recording feature and Moto X users will get camera enhancements.
Last month, Motorola rolled out Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for its Moto E, Moto G and Moto X devices in many parts of the world and now the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update has been made available to the Indian users. It may take some time for the update to reach your Moto. So like me are you also excited to see the latest update on your device?
