Airtel has silently brought in some new plans to compete with Reliance Jio’s ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer. The highlight amongst the new plans from Airtel is the Rs. 399 pack which offers 70 GB data along with free voice calls to other networks. Apart from the Rs. 399 pack there is also a Rs. 244 pack and the revised Rs. 345 plan which now offers 2 GB per day data instead of 1 GB.

The Rs. 399 plan from Airtel offers 1 GB data per day with a validity of 70 days, which certainly means that customers are getting a total 70 GB data. The plan also provides free voice call to other networks but with a few limitations. Customers only get 3000 mins of call time for a 70 day period and post 3000 mins calls will be charged for Rs. 0.10 per minute. For calls with-in the network there is a limit of 300 mins per day and 1200 mins per week, where post free usage will be charged the same Rs. 0.10 per minute.

Coming to the revised Rs. 345 plan, it will now offer 2 GB data per day instead of 1 GB data. Moreover, there will be no restriction now regarding the timing of data usage. Customers can now use the entire 2 GB data whenever they want within the 24 hours. Earlier, the data usage was limited to 500 MB during the day and remaining 500 MB between 12 am to 6 am. The voice call limitations in Rs. 345 pack are same as that of the Rs. 399 plan.

Finally, talking about the Rs. 244 plan, it also offers 1 GB data per day for 70 days, similar to that of Rs. 399 plan, but the catch here is that the free calls are restricted only within the network. There is no limitation of data usage except 1 GB per day FUP where as the free Airtel to Airtel calls are limited to 300 mins per day and 1200 mins per week. Post usage charges will be Rs. 0.10 per minute.

It is worth noting that to avail the benefits of these plans, users must have a 4G sim and a 4G smartphone. Also, the plans aren’t open to retail stores and are offered by Airtel executives, however one can check his eligibility by logging in to the MyAirtel app. According to an Airtel executive, these plans will be active from Saturday 15th April and there are more plans coming soon.
