The OnePlus 3 features a 16 MP rear camera with Sony’s IMX298 sensor with 1.12 µm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture, it also comes with OIS. The camera has got good balance of everything and it can capture some really good quality images. The 8 MP front camera has also top-notch quality. The OnePlus 3 can also record 4K videos. Its name includes ‘Style’ so let’s talk about the design first. The Moto X Style comes metallic sides and premium back covers which are available in different colors and textures like other Moto phones. The back of the phone is curved due to which it fits in perfectly in hands however it comes with a pretty large 5.7 inches screen but, Motorola has really reduced on the size of bezels around the screen so despite the bigger screen it feels as big as a 5.5 inches phone. To finish with design, the phone looks similar to other Moto phones like the Moto X (2nd Gen) and the Moto Nexus 6 but, if you spare that, it is indeed beautiful. The 5.7 inches screen has a 2k (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution with a great 520 ppi pixel density, the display quality is amazing. It is powered by the popular flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa Core Processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and paired with 3 GB RAM and delivers great performance. It comes with a 21 MP rear camera which is by far the best rear camera seen on any Moto phone till now, it features f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detect Auto-Focus (PDAF), Dual Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) flash, 4X digital zoom, Video Stabilization and 4K video recording at 30fps. The 5 MP front camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, Wide-Angle lens and a front flash, it is also good in picture quality. The Moto X Style is now upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is a Dual Sim 4G enabled smartphone and comes with 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options and is also expandable upto 128 GB. The Moto X Style is backed by a non-removable 3000 mAh battery but, the Quad HD display needs much more power and the phone disappoints a little in battery life, it can still run throughout the day with medium usage. But it comes with really fast Turbo Charging feature which the company says can charge the phone for use upto 8 hours in just 15 min of charging! The dual front speakers on the phone have rich & loud sound quality. It is also worth noting that, the Moto X Style doesn’t include a fingerprint scanner which is a disappointment. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow and being a Nexus device, it will be one of the few phones in the world to get the future Android updates for years. The Nexus 5X runs on the stock and purest form of Android which means there are no additional layers of UI & extra services downgrading performance and making your device slow. The Nexus 5X features a strong 12.3 MP rear camera with 1.55μm pixels, f/2.0 Aperture, 4K video recording, dual-LED flash & Laser Assisted Autofocus and clicks very good images. The 5 MP front cameras is decent too. The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner situated on the rear side just below the camera, it is fast and easy to use. It also comes with USB Type-C port for faster data transfer and quick charging. Sadly, it is a single sim device. The Nexus 5X comes with 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options and again for a disappointment misses out on microSD slot. It is backed by a Non-removable 2700 mAh battery which gives average performance but the quick charging feature is upto the mark and charges the phone quickly. Overall, the Google Nexus 5X is a powerful future proof phone excelling in most departments and delivering great Android experience but, lack of expandable storage and dual sim might be deal breaker for many but, if you are okay with it, it is a great device to have in your pockets, really! LG’s older flagship, the LG G4’s price is consistently falling from past few months and it is now priced close to Rs. 30,000, it can also be a good choice.

The Note series of Samsung has been its unique strength since the beginning. It is known for its stylus or the ‘S Pen’ as the company likes to call it, which does multiple jobs and very often proves quite useful. In the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has further improved the S Pen over the previous generation phones. The new S Pen can be used to select and copy text or images using the ‘Smart Select’ feature, which makes selecting things on the phone as easy as on the computer. Samsung has also improved the pressure sensitivity which which improves the handwriting and gives a more natural feeling, the S Pen can also be used to quickly edit and share images and it can do a lot more. Design wise, the Galaxy Note 4 has metallic edges which look and feel good but the fake leather plastic back doesn’t impress much. The phone looks good from front. It sports a 5.7 inches Super AMOLED Quad HD display which has amazing colors, sharpness, saturation and an overall great display quality. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by the 2.7 GHz Quad Core Exynos Processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and delivers excellent performance, the TouchWiz UI can lag a bit at times though. The phone runs on Android Kitkat out of the box but it is now upgradable to the latest Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow. Talking about the camera department, where the Note 4 excels again, it comes with a 16 MP rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and clicks great images in good lighting as well as low lighting conditions. The 3.7 MP front camera is decent but there are much better selfie camera focused phones at this price. It includes the fingerprint scanner and comes with almost all of the sensors expected in a Flagship smartphone, the heart rate sensor present in the Note 4 is a rarity and isn’t seen on many smartphones. It has 32 GB of onboard storage which is further expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card. It is backed by a 3220 mAh battery which gives a decent battery backup and the great thing is, it comes with fast charging (0% to 50% in 30 minutes) support. One disadvantage with the phone is that it is a single sim device. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 after many price drops since its launch is now available at a price where it makes a very good value for money. It delivers good performance, great multimedia experience, great cameras, many extra features with the S Pen and a lot more. Although it is a little older, it still packs all the expected features of a flagship phone and can be a very good buy under 30,000 Rs. If you can extend your budget a little the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be a great choice. You can also go with the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016).

5. HTC One ME Dual Sim:
The HTC One ME comes loaded with all the flagship specifications at this price. Starting with the design, the phone looks very good, it has a metallic frame, good mate finish back and chromium linings on the rear camera circle. It sports a 5.2 inches Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display with 565 ppi pixel density which is just amazing. The phone is powered by the 2.2 GHz Octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 Processor coupled with 3 GB RAM which offers excellent performance. When it comes to camera, it has a 20 MP rear camera and 4 MP (HTC Ultrapixel) front camera. Both the cameras work really well, they can capture great images in low light conditions also, the rear camera with f/2.2 aperture can record 4K videos while the selfie camera has many features and also produces good-looking selfies. The HTC One ME comes with a fast fingerprint scanner below the screen. The phone comes with 32 GB internal storage which is expandable upto whooping 2 TB with the help of a microSD card. The phone comes with Android v5.0.1 (Lollipop) with HTC’s sense UI 7.0 running on top of it, it looks beautiful and offers many customization options. It supports 4G and dual sim. It offers a Non-removable 2840 mAh battery which delivers decent battery backup. The phone also comes with HTC BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio which gives great music quality.
