i am an architecture student looking for a laptop with an i7 processor within 50000rs.
was wondering if an amd a10 processor is as good as an i7?
and what laptop would be suggest with a windows 8/8.1
should be portable and run all architecture softwares without trouble and have good battery,,
    what would you recommend?

    • Hello Anusuya,

Amd processors are an cheaper yet good alternative to Intel's processors. They can perform really good but still they can't match the level of Intel. But it doesn't mean that Amd processors won't do the job.

Asus K55VM-SX086D will be best for your requirements.

  • Hi rahul, My budget is 47k....could you please tell me the best laptop for my budget...which company is the best option for me?...i have been told that hp laptops emit more heat...but they look very nice...and then i thought sony would be my option...but people told that if any problem comes, its very tough to resolve...as sony parts are costly...then i moved onto lenovo...here options are more for me... lookwise they are average but functkionality os very good....now tell me which one is best for me in all terms....look,gaming,battery back up,good config etc...which one you would suggest?....n also tell me which one is better g400s touch or g500s which you have specified above...sorry for the long message...expecting the same from you which clarifies every doubt of mine...hp?lenovo?,dell?sony?...I am in chennai now...outskirts...i dnt have many resources...if i get wrong laptop, its very tough for me to go into city for it.thanx man..will be waiting for your reply...its very valuable for me

    • Hi Udayraj,

Sorry, I couldn't reply on time. George has replied beautifully, hope it helps you.

      • Yeah no problem. I am so confused now. Lenovo z500's price hiked. Its 54k now. I started from 40k and it increased to 50k now. I am unable to decide the brand now. I saw macbook for 59k (appleMD711HN/A macbook air) and people also started saying why are putting 50k for lenovo.Suggest me which brand is better for me. Vital thing is battery back up and heat should not be there. Please suggest me the brand and the model which is good in terms of look and battery back up with good config. thank you rahul :)

        • You want a long battery life that's why the options for you are limited. Lenovo Ideapad Z500 is most recommended and secondly you can look for Dell Inspiron 15 3521 (Touch). They both have got decent battery life. And just don't believe in what people say, sometimes its just the mind set. First read all the reviews and study the laptops deeply then make your decision. And the Macbook Air which you are talking about is too small (11") and might not serve all your purpose. Not a good idea going with it as you need good gaming performance.

    • Yes, there are heating issues with hp laptops and you will always have 2 pay a premium for sony products. Considering your requirements i think you should be going for lenevo g500. If u can increase your budget to 53k you can even go for the lenevo z510 which has a fabulous design.(comes with a i5 4th gen processor, JBL speakers)

      • Thanx man..can you tell me how is lenovo g400s touch 3rd gen I5? and tell me if lenovo g500s is better than g400s...i want to know about each one in detail...kindly provide your review.

        • It depends on individual preference. whether you want a 14inch or 15inch screen. In terms of storage, ram and overall performance lenovo G500s wins it hands down.
In case if you want to go for a non touch laptop i would suggest you to go for the lenovo z series which is more value for money considering your requirements.(look, gaming, battery backup n good config).
          hope this helps.
