Among all the lists I write, I enjoy writing this list the most as the phones around 30,000 Rs. are of premium quality and another important factor is, this range is less crowded. There are less Android phones in this range say around 40 from which I have to choose the best five, in contrast to more than 150 phones in range of 15,000 Rs. And to present the best phones in front of you, I consider every phone and compare them in many aspects to get the best five.
So, coming back to the 5 Best Android Phones under 30000 Rs, all the phones in this list are really very good. It was very difficult to rank them except the first position. All the 5 phones are very interesting and different to fulfil the requirements of different types of users. All the 5 phones are worth buying, you just need to find out which phone attracts you the most.
Last month hundreds of readers of this blog had commented and asked which phone they should choose among the crowded market. [alert]# Buying Tip:
There are some amazing offers and discounts available in many categories on Flipkart, the no. 1 shopping site in India. Buying your Smartphones, Laptops and other gadgets online can be a wise decision as buying online can definitely save you some money. And no doubt Flipkart is best for Indian buyers.
1. Google Nexus 5 (16 GB):
Boom!!! Its THE NEXUS 5! The flagship phone from Google, which is among the best phones in the world. The most attractive feature, being a Nexus device, it will get the newest Android updates very quickly. The phone is manufactured by LG and hats off to them for creating a solid phone with amazing design and good build quality. Coming to the hardware, its just awesome and very very powerful. It has Quad-core 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor which is great. It has 2 GB of RAM, amazing Full HD display and almost everything you will require. This phone offers the features and hardware which other companies offered at a much costlier price. But, now let’s give it a reality check. The phone is very popular for its performance but, right from its launch it was continuously in news for its camera, which many people say is a little disappointing (Nexus 5 has a 8 Mp camera). Another issue was a quick battery drain for few users, this issue is now fixed. Also, the phone doesn’t have the expandable storage, it comes in two variants 16 GB and 32 GB( the 32 GB model is available at 33,500 Rs.) So, for which types of users the Nexus 5 is the best choice? Its a very good choice for developers, for people who want guaranteed and speedy Android updates, for people who want the purest Android experience with no UI customizations and skins. If you want a very good camera phone, go for other phones in this list.
2. Sony Xperia Z:
One time, the Xperia Z was the flagship phone of Sony. It is truly a great phone and now when Sony has launched new flagship phones, its cost is reduced by many thousands and now, its available under 30,000 Rs. The phone is great. Great performance, great camera, great design, great display, great build and has most great top end features. Additional benefit you get with this phone is that it is water resistant so, you need not to hesitate to enjoy the rains. It is a very good phone for users who want the overall best phone and especially for those who want to show off the attractive design. And at this price point, its a great buy.
3. Samsung Galaxy S4:
This phone was the king of smartphones until the Galaxy S5 was launched recently. Most of you may have heard about this phone. Its a great performer with good hardware too. The performance and hardware is almost similar to the Sony Xperia Z but the Xperia Z scores one point more. The price of the S4 is reduced by 10,000 Rs and now its under 30,000 Rs. which makes the phone very attractive. This is the best choice for people who want a very trustworthy phone and best after sales service, no doubt Samsung is the best brand for it.
4. Gionee ELIFE E7 (32GB):
This is the king of hardware. This phone has the best specs in this list. It has bigger screen, bigger camera, bigger RAM, very good processor and rest all the hardware is amazing. This phone has flawless performance which is very very fast. This phone is most suitable for those who want even bigger screen and for the heavy gamers and heavy users, it can do a hell lot of multitasking for you. If you are looking for the best performance then go for this phone. But considering the brand, it is ranked 4th.
5. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo:
It took me more than 45 mins to choose the last phone. It was a very tough fight between two phones – the Note 3 Neo and LG G Pro E988. I have done a lot of research and still the decision was tough and although the LG G Pro E988 was slightly better I have chosen the Note 3 Neo, lets find out why. The Note 3 Neo is a less powerful version of the most aspired Note 3. Many users want to buy the Note 3 but the high price din’t allow them. So, the Note 3 Neo is a great alternative for those users at this price. Also, the LG G Pro E988 is older and its better to buy the top 3 phones from this list rather than going with it. But the note 3 neo belongs to other class – The Note series of Samsung. Its a great phone and you will not find much difference from the original Note 3. One thing I want you to be aware of is that, on flipkart this phone is ranked poorly and most of the rating are poor because of the higher price of the phone. Initially it was priced at about 40,000 which was too high. But now @ 30,000 Rs. its a good buy.

Hi Rahul
Thank you so very much for your reviews & suggestions. In this competing Mobile market, choosing & buying mobile becomes so very difficult, as many buyers are confused, so am I. I should admit your analysis to rank mobiles really helped me to chose a mobile under 30,000. A biiiig service you are doing to younger generation, having said that I wanted to further take an advantage of your analysis - If you have to suggest 30,000 ( + 3000 or so max ) which two mobiles will you suggest ? And coming to Gionee ELIFE E7, you have not mentioned whether or not it can be upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2 ....? And one last question ..? There is this rumor that few mobile brands flaunt about their batteries numbers & processors but when compared to other mobiles whose battery number & processors are low but ironically can perform much better ... is there any truth in this ?
>>>> Thanks for your patience, appreciate if you could shed some light <<<< ( From your list, I have chosen Sony Z, hope I have made wise decision... After 2 years, still I can think it can stand up given the config & cam )
:) Regards Arun
Hi,
First of all thank you so much for your words of appreciation :-)
Coming to your queries, I will suggest you Sony Xperia Z and the Google Nexus 5 but if you can extend the budget by another 3,000 Rs. you can get the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact which is another great phone but has a smaller 4.3 inches screen and an HD display unlike the other phones in this range which have Full HD display. The phone is good but I personally will not go for a smaller screen size. If you want a compact phone go with the Z1 compact, else your decision to go with Sony Xperia Z is perfect.
Coming to the Gionee Elife E7, it hasn't got the Kitkat update yet but it may get the update this july.
And coming to your last question, yes there is some truth. And the best example to understand it are the Nokia phones, you can easily observe them having low powered hardware, consider also the Androids from Nokia, they have less powerful processor, lower RAM, and small battery but still, they deliver a very effective and good performance. The reason behind this is the optimal usage of hardware by the system. In Android, the system requires much resources and many companies try to put bigger hardware but they get completely messed up with their optimal configuration and the result is poor performance by the phone. So, a good balance between the hardware, the software and the system processes deliver the best performance.
Another great example of it is the Moto G, it has better performance than may phones having greater config.
Enjoy your new phone, Happy Buying!
