Amazon India, under its Crafted for Amazon programme, has launched the third smartphone under the 10.or brand, known as the 10.or D. The budget smartphone, which will be made in India has been launched to compete with the recently launched Redmi 5A by Xiaomi. The smartphone comes in two memory configurations of 2 GB RAM / 16 GB storage, priced at ₹ 4,999 and 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage, priced at ₹ 5,999.
The entry-level smartphone has been created to entice younger consumers or first-time smartphone users. The 10.or D will be sold exclusively via Amazon.in and will be available from the 5th of January, 2018. And for the Amazon Prime members, it will be available with an additional introductory offer of 1-year extended warranty.
Now talking about the specifications of the phone, the 10.or D features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280) screen and runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Stock Android UI, the company has also promised an Android Oreo update. The budget phone is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Andreno 308 GPU. The phone features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. Apart from this, the phone also features a fingerprint sensor on the back, which can recognize your fingerprint and unlock your phone in less than 0.3 seconds.
Coming to the physical features of the phone, the phone’s body is made out of plastic with the rear side having a matte finish. The dual sim phone comes with a dedicated slot for microSD card for extended memory. The 10.or D is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery, which according to the company’s claim offers up to two days of battery life, and up to 10 days of standby time. Along with all of that, the handset will offer the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, 3.5mm headphone jack and OTG support.
