1. Moto G4 Plus:
One of the most awaited phones of the year – the new 2016 Moto G, which is called as the Moto G4 Plus is now launched. Those familiar with the Moto G phones know how popular these phones have been and those who are not aware of all this should know that the Moto G4 Plus is the 4th edition in the Moto G series and all the previous 3 generation phones have been extremely successful in India. Back in 2014, the Moto G was first launched in India, since then it has been the most selling phone in Indian e-commerce, it helped in spreading e-commerce in India by starting the ‘online exclusive’ and ‘flash sales’ trend. So, it has a great legacy to carry, now let’s talk about the phone. Starting with the design, the Moto G4 Plus comes with a polycarbonate body and everything is plastic here, the back has a leather like finish which feels good and the build quality is excellent. I won’t say the phone looks good, specially when you have many of the full metal unibody phones at the same or lower price but, it has good grip and feels comfortable to hold in hands. It sports a big 5.5 inches Full HD screen with very good display quality although, the screen is a fingerprint magnet. If we talk about the performance, it runs on the 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 617 Octa-core processor coupled with 2/3 GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU, it can handle heavy usage and gaming but it heats up a little and also there are much better phones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which deliver great performance, so the Moto G4 Plus is not recommended for heavy users. When it comes to the camera department, the Moto G4 Plus stands taller from the crowd. It features a 16 MP rear camera with Laser auto-focus, PDAF, ƒ/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash and the Professional Mode, the camera is really amazing, it has good colors, sharpness and performs very well even at low light conditions, it is by far one of the best camera you can get at this price. The 5 MP front camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture is also one of the best or probably the best at this price. As always the case for Moto phones, the Moto G4 Plus runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Stock Android UI, although Moto has added few helpful features like the Moto Display. And the phone will always get the latest Android updates for years. For the first time, the company has added a fingerprint scanner in its phone and it works well, it is placed below the screen. It is a dual sim phone with 4G support. It comes in 16 GB and 32 GB storage options and is expandable upto 128 GB with a dedicated microSD slot. The phone is backed by a Non-removable 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery which gives decent battery life, it can last for a day with medium to heavy usage. It supports fast charging via Moto’s Turbo charger. Overall, when you talk about a Moto G phone, it is always about the user experience and the stability between hardware and software, and the Moto G4 Plus again achieves that, it runs smoothly. So, with latest software, great cameras, good performance and all the required features, it can be a great choice with closed eyes. And as a complete package, it is the best phone under 15000 Rs. in India at present. Motorola has also launched the Moto G4 in India at Rs. 12,499 but, you should ignore it and go with the Moto G4 Plus only. The Moto X Play (16 GB) is also available at Rs. 15,499.

2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB):
After a long wait, Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi Note 3 in India. The phone has been highly successful in China and with all the features it packs, the same success story seems to repeat in India as well. Starting with the design, the Redmi Note 3 boasts a premium metallic design and excellent build quality, it feels great and looks beautiful, while the curved edges on the back gives it a good grip as well. The phone has a 5.5 inches Full HD display with 401 ppi pixel density and has very good display quality but, it doesn’t come with Gorilla Glass screen protection. The Redmi Note 3 is powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Processor which has 6 cores, out of which four are 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and the rest two are 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 CPU’s which handle the heavy usage. The Redmi Note 3 is the world’s first phone to come with Snapdragon 650 processor, which is very powerful and delivers performance better than many flagship processors, it also doesn’t heat up much as well. The phone comes in two variants, one has 16 GB storage + 2 GB RAM and the other has 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM. It is equipped with a 16 MP rear camera which comes with PDAF and Dual-Tone LED Flash and clicks very good quality images. On the front, it has a 5 MP shooter which too is capable of clicking good quality selfies. Another highlight of the Redmi Note 3 is its fast fingerprint scanner which can unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds, the phone also includes Infrared Blaster which allows you to control your TV, AC, music system and many other electronic appliances. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Xiaomi’s beautiful MIUI 7 running on top. It is a dual sim phone with 4G and VoLTE support, it allows storage expansion and supports microSD cards upto 128 GB but, it has hybrid slot so at a time, you can either use the second sim or the microSD card. It is backed by a big 4050 mAh battery which gives a pretty good battery life, easily lasting for a day or even more. Also, despite a big battery and metal build, the phone weighs 164 grams and has a thickness of 8.65mm so, you get all the features without the added bulkiness. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 delivers great flagship like performance, a good looking premium design and packs all the excellent features at a very good price, it is really a great buy and heavy users or gamers will love it. Although, it is at the 2nd spot in our list, it can easily be your preferred choice as it excels the Moto G4 Plus in many departments and also saves you some money. So, heavy users, this is the best phone under 15000 Rs. for you. The Xiaomi Mi 4i can also be a good choice if you want a 5 inches phone.

[section label=”3. LeEco Le 2″]
3. LeEco Le 2
LeEco is speedily extending its hold in the Indian smartphone market, be it in the hardware department or the entertainment packages, they offer a lot. The LeEco Le 2 is the successor to its popular LeEco Le 1s. Design wise, there are not many changes in the Le 2 from its predecessor. It packs a premium full metal body which is very well built. The rear camera housing on the back looks beautiful and adds a good look to the phone. It has a 5.5 inches Full HD display which has very good quality. The phone is powered by the new Snapdragon 652 Octa Core processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and delivers great performance, which is even a little better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. You can play heaviest of the games without lagging and severe heating issues. The Le 2 features a 16 MP rear camera which has good sharpness, depth and an overall excellent picture quality. The 8 MP front camera is also very good. But the USP of the phone is, it is the first phone to ditch the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack and use the new CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology using the Type-C USB port, which ensure high quality audio through the headphones. Thankfully, the company provides a Type-C USB to 3.5 mm jack adapter which will prove very handy when you don’t have the Type-C headphones and want to use the most popular 3.5 mm jack headphones. The phone runs on latest Android Marshmallow with company’s EUI running on top, the EUI is beautiful, stable and well optimized. The fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate. It is a dual sim phone with 4G support on both the slots. The Le 2 comes with 32 GB internal storage space, but sadly it doesn’t have a microSD slot so, those who love to plug-in and out the microSD card frequently will be disappointed. The phone is backed by a non-removable 3000 mAh battery which comes with fast charging capability and charges the phone quickly. The battery life is decent. And, not to forget the company’s Supertainment package which includes subscription from many popular Indian media providers. If we talk about the downsides, the lack of microSD slot can be a disappointment for some, while the missing 3.5 mm headphone jack can be seen in both ways, early adopters will like it while, traditional users will find it a little annoying at stages. Also, beware that you won’t be able to charge the phone and use the headphones simultaneously as, there is only one port for both the jobs. Overall, the LeEco Le 2 is a complete smartphone, be it design, performance, multimedia or the camera, it is pretty good in almost every department. It directly competes with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and beats it in many departments. It is a great value for money phone under 15000 Rs. but, before you get too excited make sure you can live without the 3.5 mm headphone jack!

So, if you have more multimedia consumption or want to enjoy the VR experience the Vibe K5 Note will be the best mobile under 15000 Rs. for you. if you are a fan of huge screen, the Lenovo PHAB with 6.98 inches screen can be a good choice at Rs. 11,999 but, please first make sure you really want a 7 inches phone!

The Zuk Z1 comes with a metallic (aluminium) frame although, the company has used plastic in the curved back. The phone looks good, feels sturdy and has a very good overall build quality. It sports a 5.5 inches Full HD screen which has good colors, the viewing angles are also very good. The Zuk Z1 is powered by the old and popular Snapdragon 801 Quad Core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz and comes paired with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The performance is good as expected and it can handle gaming also but the new Snapdragon 650 used in the similarly priced Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 performs much better. The phone packs a 13 MP rear shooter with Sony’s IMX 214 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, OIS and Dual-LED flash. Getting OIS at this price is amazing and the picture quality of the rear camera is also very good or one of the best at this price, it has natural colors, good saturation and good sharpness. The 8 MP front camera is also good. One of the Zuk Z1’s highlight is the OS on which it runs, which is the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen 12.1 OS which is excellent, it comes with unlimited customizations, lots of interesting features and much more.
