After a long wait, Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi Note 3 in India. The phone has been highly successful in China and with all the features it packs, the same success story seems to repeat in India as well. Starting with the design, the Redmi Note 3 boasts a premium metallic design and excellent build quality, it feels great and looks beautiful, while the curved edges on the back gives it a good grip as well. The phone has a 5.5 inches Full HD display with 401 ppi pixel density and has very good display quality but, it doesn’t come with Gorilla Glass screen protection. The Redmi Note 3 is powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Processor which has 6 cores, out of which four are 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and the rest two are 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 CPU’s which handle the heavy usage. The Redmi Note 3 is the world’s first phone to come with Snapdragon 650 processor, which is very powerful and delivers performance better than many flagship processors, it also doesn’t heat up much as well. The phone comes in two variants, one has 16 GB storage + 2 GB RAM and the other has 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM (priced at Rs. 11,999). It is equipped with a 16 MP rear camera which comes with PDAF and Dual-Tone LED Flash and clicks very good quality images. On the front, it has a 5 MP shooter which too is capable of clicking good quality selfies. Another highlight of the Redmi Note 3 is its fast fingerprint scanner which can unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds, the phone also includes Infrared Blaster which allows you to control your TV, AC, music system and many other electronic appliances. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Xiaomi’s beautiful MIUI 7 running on top. It is a dual sim phone with 4G and VoLTE support, it allows storage expansion and supports microSD cards upto 128 GB but, it has hybrid slot so at a time, you can either use the second sim or the microSD card. It is backed by a big 4050 mAh battery which gives a pretty good battery life, easily lasting for a day or even more. Also, despite a big battery and metal build, the phone weighs 164 grams and has a thickness of 8.65mm so, you get all the features without the added bulkiness. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 delivers flagship like performance, a good looking premium design and packs all the excellent features at a very good price, it is really a great buy and is undoubtedly the best smartphone under 10000 Rs. in India.

[section label=”2. Moto G (3rd Gen)”]
2. Moto G (3rd Gen):
A great fact is that, Moto G has been the most selling product across any category on any e-commerce platform in the history of Indian e-commerce. Well, it has a glorious past but, now let’s get started with the Moto G (3rd Gen). The phone has a very simple design from the front and a very classy curvy back which has a vertical strip which houses the camera, LED flash and the Moto logo, this strip looks very beautiful and adds uniqueness in the design of the phone. The phone is very comfortable to hold in hand and offers good grip. It sports a 5 inches HD screen with 294 ppi pixel density which is decent. It is powered by Quad-core 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 410 Processor coupled with 2 GB RAM, it is definitely not for the heavy users but on a day-to-day basis it runs flawlessly and plays small to medium games efficiently. It runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with stock Android UI, which also makes the performance good. Great thing is that, it will always get the future Android updates and that too faster than many flagship phones! For the last two Moto G’s, camera was the weakest point, for the 3rd Gen it’s the strongest. It packs a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens, HDR & dual-LED flash. The 5 MP front camera comes with f/2.2 lens and a Field of view (FOV) of 72 degrees. Both the cameras are really good. An icing on the cake is, it is water-resistant for upto 30 minutes, this IPX7 certification is provided by no phone in the near price range. It has 16 GB internal & upto 32 GB expandable storage, Dual Sim, 4G, and a decent battery life with the 2470 mAh battery. Overall, it may not offer you the best specs but it is the most popular phone with a comfortable 5 inches screen and works perfectly well for normal users so, if you are not after heavy usage/gaming, it can be the best buy under 10000 Rs.

[alert variation=”alert-error”]Comparison: Moto G (3rd Gen) Vs Samsung Galaxy J7: Two amazing budget phones but which is best?[/alert] [section label=”3. LeEco Le 1s Eco”]
3. LeEco Le 1s Eco:
LeEco has upgraded its popular smartphone LeEco Le 1s with the newer ‘Made in India’ LeEco Le 1s Eco which, brings in only few changes like it now runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, supports 10 Indian regional languages and includes entertainment packages from Eros Now, YuppTV and Hungama, worth Rs. 4900 free for one year, rest everything remains the same. Starting with the design, the first thing you will notice about the smartphone is its premium metallic design which is by far the best build quality we have seen in a 10-11k phone. It has a 5.5 inches Full HD screen with 403 ppi pixel density, the display quality is very good. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Le 1s Eco runs on the powerful 2.2 GHz Mediatek Helio X10 Turbo 6795T Octa Core Processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and delivers consistently good performance. It has got the PowerVR G6200 GPU which performs very well with small to medium games but with heavy games it struggles a little, although it isn’t bad. The phone has got a 13 MP rear camera with F2.0 aperture which can click very detailed pictures and is a good overall performer. On the front, it has a 5 MP shooter which also comes with F2.0 aperture and 85 degrees wide-angle lens, it also produces good selfies. The Le 1s Eco brings 3 important features which are hardly seen in a 10,000 Rs. phone, the fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port for fast charging and the Infrared (IR) Blaster to let you control devices like music systems, T.V., A.C., etc. from your phone itself. It is a dual sim phone and supports 4G on both the sim. It has got 32 GB internal memory out of which around 25 GB is free for the user but, the phone doesn’t have the microSD slot. It has a Li-Po 3000 mAh battery. The company also promises to have already started service centres in many cities. Overall, the LeEco Le 1s Eco comes with a great design and is equally powerful and feature packed smartphone which makes a great value for money deal at this price, also, the company is also focused towards improving the user experience of its customers in the Indian market. It can be a very good choice.

[section label=”4. Meizu M3 Note”]
4. Meizu M3 Note:
Meizu has launched its much awaited powerful budget smartphone Meizu M3 Note in India. The phone packs a beautiful and sturdy unibody metal design and is really very well-built, seeing the design, one cannot guess the phone costs just under 10k. If we look at the placement of buttons, the power and volume rockers rest on the right side and there is a physical home button on the front below the screen, which also integrates the fingerprint sensor but, there are no ‘back’ and ‘recent apps’ button on the phone, the home button itself does all these functions, off course inspired from the iPhones! The Meizu M3 Note sports a 5.5 inches Full HD screen which has very good display quality with good viewing angles. A 2.5D curved glass overlays the screen, which gives a good look and also feels nice in the hands. The phone is powered by the 1.8 GHz Mediatek Helio P10 Octa-core processor paired with 3 GB RAM, it gives good performance for medium usage but when it comes to heavy gaming the phone lags a little so, if you want a phone for gaming there are much better phones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 around this price. It features a 13 MP rear camera which does pretty well in good lighting conditions but struggles in low light conditions, the 5 MP front camera does a good job though. It runs on the older Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s Flyme OS 5.1. It is a dual sim phone supporting 4G on both the slots. It comes with 32 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card, but it has hybrid slot. The fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate most of the times. The phone is backed by a big 4100 mAh battery which gives it a very good battery backup. Overall, the Meizu M3 Note is an extremely well-built phone for its price, it also packs decent performance, good features and a good battery life. It can be another good choice, specially if you give more importance to design, it can be a great choice.
