Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the ‘Honor 6X’ smartphone in India starting at Rs. 12,999 at an event in New Delhi. The smartphone was launched in China in October last year and later the company announced the global launch of the smartphone at CES 2017.
The Honor 6X sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display. It is powered by an Octa-core (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) Kirin 655 16nm processor, coupled with Mali T830-MP2. It comes in two variants 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, and the internal memory is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
On the photography front, it houses dual rear cameras, comprising a 12-megapixel camera with LED Flash, 6P lens, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF and a 2-megapixel camera for achieving depth of field and background blur. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top, while it will get Android Nougat update with EMUI 5.0 in Q2 2017.
The hybrid dual-sim smartphone houses a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel which unlocks the device in 0.3 seconds. It is backed by a 3340mAh battery with fast-charging support. On the connectivity part, it includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG. It measures at 150.9×72.6×8.2mm and weighs in at 162g.
The Honor 6X comes in Gold, Silver and Grey colour variants. The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 12,999 and the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 15,999. It will be available exclusively from Amazon.in and the first flash sale is on 2nd February and registration starts from 2 pm today.
