Xiaomi’s 4.9mm thin Mi LED TV 4, Smart TV with 55 inch 4K HDR display, PatchWall launched in India at Rs. 39,999

Xiaomi challenged the biggest of the television brands like Sony, Samsung and LG when it unveiled the Mi LED TV 4 (55), the smart LED TV with 55-inch 4k display which is also the slimmest LED Tv in the world with just 4.9mm thickness, at CES’17. Since then, there are was a huge anticipation about the LED TVs arrival in India. After the long wait, finally today the company heads, took to the stage and announced the launch of the Mi LED TV 4 (55) at a price tag of Rs. 39,999, which is totally disruptive considering the features it packs.

Talking about the specifications of the Mi LED TV 4 (55), it has been equipped with a 55-inch, 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) LED Display with 60 Hz refresh rate, HDR support and 178° viewing angle. For computing, the television is powered by a 1.8 GHz Quad-Core 64- bit Amlogic Cortex-A53 SoC backed by 2 GB RAM and 750MHz Mali-T830 GPU. It also comes with 8 GB onboard storage.

The highlight of the Mi LED TV 4 (55) is its smart features. The company has spent a lot of time in developing the software and hardware from ground-up to come up with features which will change the way you interact and consume content on smart TVs. The Mi TV 4 comes with AI-powered PatchWall UI, an OS built by Xiaomi. It includes a smart search engine, which shows you content from different content providers on a single page. The PatchWall, which can be called as the homepage for the TV, shows you content from all over, including TV channels from your set-top box and comes with infinite scroll and shows you vast pool of content from its partners.

For sound, the TV comes with the Dolby+DTS Cinema Audio provided by two 8W duct inverted speakers. Connectivity options on the Mi LED TV 4 (55) include three HDMI ports, a single USB 3.0 port, a single USB 2.0 port, an Ethernet port, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Along with the television comes an eleven button Mi Remote which can be used to control your set-top box when accompanied by a Mi IR cable (available at Rs. 299). In order to make the deal more lucrative for the initial buyers, the company has introduced offers such as free initial 3-month subscription (worth Rs. 619) to Sony Liv and Hungama Play, free Mi IR cable worth Rs. 299, and on-site installation worth Rs. 1,099 for free.

The Mi LED TV 4 (55) 4K-UHD television will be available for purchase from 2pm, February 22nd, 2018 exclusively via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home Stores.
